We have already checked out the Viewsonic ViewPad 7, which was quite an impressive device. However, compared to the Samsung Galaxy Tab, it was pretty bland.

Today, details of the new Viewsonic G tablet were unveiled. It will be an Android 2.2 Froyo tablet which will run on the Nvidia Tegra platform. Like the Viewpad 7, it will run only Android 2.2, and won’t be a dual boot tablet.

It has excellent hardware specifications. It comes with a 10.1 inch TFT capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels. It is powered by the Nvidia Tegra2 platform and comes with 1 GB RAM and 16 GB internal storage with support for up to 32 GB microSD cards.

It looks pretty slim and stylish and comes with a 1.3 MP webcam, a USB port and HDMI. It also offers Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth 2.1 connectivity. It can easily handle 1080p HD video playback and has around 10-12 hours of battery life.

It surely looks like a great iPad alternative, now only if Viewsonic could get the software right.

Seperti layar touchscreen 2,8 inci, keyboard Qwerty, kamera 3MP (Kodak), WiFi, Bluetooth, Backtrack trackpad, Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, Gmail, PicasaTM, PhotoBucket, CrystalTalk TM Plus, Google Maps, Adobe Flash, Google Search, Android Market, serta sistem operasi Android 2.1 Eclair dengan antar muka Motoblur.

Tapi sayang. sepertinya Motorola Charm tetap akan memiliki keterbatasan. Pasalnya, kebanyakan aplikasi berbasis Android rata-rata hanya didesain untuk perangkat dengan layar tegak, sedangkan Motorola Charm memiliki ukuran layar melebar.

Meski begitu tetap saja, Motorola Charm tidak kalah menarik daripada Blackberry besutan RIM. Apalagi jika dibandingkan dengan ponsel-ponsel non-OS keluaran rival, Motorola Charm jelas lebih menarik dan apik.

Sejauh ini, belum ada informasi mengenai harga maupun ketersediaannya di Indonesia. Sehingga, untuk Anda yang ingin memiliki ponsel terbaru persembahan Motorola itu harus lebih bersabar lagi menantikan kehadirannya di Indonesia. Pasalnya, saat ini Motorola Charm baru tersedia di pasaran Amerika Serikat.
